Raymond Brimble

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Ray Brimble is the founder and managing partner of Lynxs Group LLC and acting Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Brimble’s business portfolio combines entrepreneurial, managerial, and academic accomplishments spanning a 35-year career, which began when he founded his first company at the age of 22. Through the years, Mr. Brimble has become known for his specialty in bringing together numerous elements such as people, ideas, capital, research, and expertise into one focused effort toward a common goal. His leadership talent has earned him a place as an international leader in Texas business circles with global impact. He is a past chairman and current board member of the International Partnership of Greater Austin, a nonprofit organization bridging cultural, educational, and business opportunities between Texas and the global community.  Mr. Brimble has been active in the logistics sector for over 25 years and has developed, acquired, and/or advised on logistics real estate transactions exceeding $2 billion.

Mr. Brimble holds a B.A. in International Studies, Ampla Cum Laude, from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University, which he attended as a Scottish Rite Fellow.  In addition, Mr. Brimble served as an International Business faculty member at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin from 1990 to 1993.


Robert Althuis

President

Robert Althuis is a partner in Lynxs Group LLC and acting President.

Mr. Althuis was formerly a Senior Vice President in the Airport Infrastructure group of GECAS (GE Capital).  At GECAS, Mr. Althuis served as the lead originator for the Americas Region of the Airport Infrastructure group and was instrumental in structuring Global Infrastructure Partners, a $5.6 billion infrastructure investment fund sponsored by GE Capital and Credit Suisse. Mr. Althuis started his career at GE Capital in an executive management program in 2002 and joined GECAS on a full-time basis in 2003. In his initial role at GECAS, as a member of the structured finance team, Mr. Althuis closed in excess of $1.5 billion of aviation-related debt and equity financings.

Mr. Althuis, who has dual nationality in The Netherlands and the United States, holds a B.B.A., summa cum laude, with a major in Real Estate from Georgia State University in Atlanta, and an M.B.A., with distinction, with a major in Finance and Management from Columbia Business School in New York City. In addition, Mr. Althuis is a certified member of CCIM and a licensed real estate broker in the states of Georgia and Texas. Mr. Althuis began his career in commercial real estate acquisition and development in 1995; his last position before joining GE was Vice President and Division Manager of the commercial real estate activities of a diversified real estate firm in Atlanta.

Anthony Jackson

Advisor and Non-Executive Director

Mr. Jackson serves as an Advisor and Non-Executive Director of the Lynxs Group.
For 22 years Mr. Jackson served as the CEO of a Danish-owned multinational group manufacturing computer printer supplies in 12 countries and selling in over 100 countries. On the sale of the group in 1996 he embarked on a career in consultancy. During this time he has been a director of both private and public companies and represented a major venture capital group.

Mr. Jackson's focus has been on advising boards, mostly on strategy, business planning, and marketing. He has been instrumental in numerous turnarounds, acquisitions, a stock market flotation, and disposals. Mr. Jackson's experience in unlocking board effectiveness and resolving familial shareholder challenges has been crucial. He has advised businesses in construction and property development, a parcel airline, and companies in the areas of fruit and vegetable import, medical services, and industrial/medical chart manufacture, among others.

Previously working in a joint venture with Ray Brimble in computer-printer supplies manufacturing, in 2001 Mr. Jackson was asked via Mr. Brimble to join forces in the expansion of Lynxs to Europe and beyond; that vision has now translated into the global expansion of the Lynxs Group.


 

Latin America
Frederik Jacobsen

Senior Partner

Fred Jacobsen is a Partner in Lynxs Latin America S. de R.L. and co-founder of AirLogistix S. de R.L.

Mr. Jacobsen combines over 20 years of business experience in commercial aviation. Prior to founding Aviation Logistics Solutions, the predecessor company to AirLogistix, Mr. Jacobsen was President and CEO of Tampa Cargo, a leading all-cargo airline in the Americas. At Tampa Cargo, Mr. Jacobsen led a major turnaround that brought the airline from a dire financial condition to one of sustained growth. Under his leadership, Tampa Cargo grew annual cargo revenue growth from $77 million in 1998 to $182 million in 2006, and achieved record profit levels. In this process, the company nearly tripled its market share in Colombia, added new routes throughout the major cargo destinations in Latin America, consolidated a strategic partnership with Martinair Cargo, built and certified its own maintenance base under stringent FAA standards, and with an order of four B767-200SFs, became the launch customer for GECAS of the type. Throughout his career, Mr. Jacobsen has held a variety of junior- to senior-level positions in airline operations, finance, and sales, and marketing.  As CEO of Tampa Cargo, Mr. Jacobsen participated as a speaker at international cargo forums such as TIACA, the Airline CEO Conference, and Cargo FACTs.

Mr. Jacobsen holds a B.S. in Air Transportation Management from Arizona State University, and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. Mr. Jacobsen also attended the CEO Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and was the recipient of academic scholarships at Arizona State University and at the University of Texas at Tyler.


Maurice Thorin Brauer

Senior Partner

Maurice Thorin is a Partner in Lynxs Latin America S. de R.L., co-founder of AirLogistix S. de R.L. and acting General Manager of Lynxs Bogotá CargoPort™. 

During recent years Mr. Thorin has successfully devoted his professional experience to the design, development, and commercialization of Lynxs Bogotá CargoPort™, the new cargo terminal at the International Eldorado Airport in Colombia. 

Prior to founding Aviation Logistics Solutions, the predecessor company of AirLogistix, Mr. Thorin was Ground Handling Services Director for two major all-cargo airlines, Tampa Cargo and Martinair Cargo, leading all airport logistics and operations in the various stations of the region. His entrepreneurial spirit and constant search for improving cargo-handling processes was recognized with the LOGyCA 2006 LATAM award for innovation in logistical processes and best operation for air cargo transportation.

Mr. Thorin also served as Latin Americas Regional Director and led a major turnaround that resulted in Tampa Cargo and Martinair's commercial and operational integration into Latin America. As Station Manager in Bogotá and Barranquilla, Mr. Thorin managed all airport, ground-handling and commercial operations, positioning Tampa Cargo and Martinair Cargo as the number-one cargo carriers in the Colombian market.

Mr. Thorin started his career at Lufthansa as Flight Operations Agent, and in his more than 15 years of experience in commercial aviation and airport logistics, Mr. Thorin assumed a variety of junior- to senior-level positions in airline operation. He also served as President of ALAICO and ATAC, both airline associations in Colombia. 


Juan Emilio Posada

Senior Partner

As President of Puerto Brisa, Mr. Posada leads and promotes a multipurpose deep-sea port for vessels of up to 180,000 MT DGW, especially for solid bulk, including coal. A projected industrial free trade zone, in the medium term, will include pig iron, hot- and cold-rolled steel, metal processing, and cement plants—investments that will easily exceed $1 billion.

Mr. Posada also controls Stratis, a company he founded to undertake projects related to logistics, transportation, and transportation infrastructure. Stratis has found investors for transportation infrastructure BOMTs and for the privatization process of several electricity distribution companies, with aggregate income flows exceeding $ 2.8 billion.

Until June 2005, Mr. Posada was Chief Corporate Officer of Synergy Aerospace, co-responsible for development of airlines and companies of Synergy Aerospace, the then incipient aviation division of Synergy Group, which now includes Colombia´s Avianca, Sam and Tampa Cargo, Brazil´s OceanAir, Ecuador´s VIPSA and Aerogal, as well as other aeronautical services and products companies with operations in Latin America.

Mr. Posada is highly regarded for his achievements as President of Avianca-Sam and Aces, where he led complex corporate transformations and restructurings, reaching top customer service levels. Before getting involved with the Colombian air sector, Mr. Posada was Manager-Precious Metal of Billiton Marketing and Trading B.V. (a then Royal Dutch Shell Group subsidiary) in the Netherlands; International Vice President of Banco Cafetero in New York, Miami, and Bogotá (with investment subsidiaries in Miami, Panama, Grand Cayman, Nassau, Caracas, and Lima).

Mr. Posada obtained a B.A. in Business and Finance from EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombia and an M.B.A. in Business and International Business and Finance from New York´s Pace University, where he received the highest award for academic excellence. Also, Mr. Posada read International Financial Law at the London School of Economics.
